Review of Lockout (2012) by Brandon S — 14 Nov 2012
It's not a movie that's supposed to be taken seriously. Luc Besson has had some great success, but this film is just lacking in a lot of areas. Now it doesn't sink entirely it just fails to realize it's own ridiculousness.
The action sequences are visually impressive, but they are nothing new, and apart from the performance by Guy Pearce there really isn't much to be said for the acting. It's slow and pretty stupid but it's fun to watch.
