Great movie, it's pretty amazing that they can still manage to make a futuristic looking movie when we're basically living in the future. This one is about high security prison orbiting the earth, that in it self is not a new idea, I've seen it before, but the execution is pretty sweet with state of the art CGI and all manner of hight-tech sci-fi gadgetry.
The whole space prison project is set up by 'The New World Alliance' which acts and sounds pretty much like out current New World Order i.e. corporate fascism. Experimenting on prisoners is one of the old-world-new-world examples, as is militarised police, biometric identification and implantable microchips.
A boy named Sue (or something to that effect) is sent in to save the presidents bimbo daughter from rape-hungry prisoners and he does it with a certain cynical pleasure I love to see in action movies. This won't go down in movie history as a 'good' movie, but I enjoyed it a lot.
19 minutes in the 'Wilhelm scream' makes an appearance, always delightful.
