Review of Locke (2014) by Thomas L — 14 Aug 2014
Tom Hardy is a one man show though out the majority of this film, and the ultimate measure of a great actor is in his ability to hold the screen, Hardy does just that and then some. The writing is rock solid and believable.
Director Steven Knight rarely ventures from the face of his leading man, and the rest of the characters only exist via car phone. Locke challenges you to reflect upon what is important in your life. Is doing the right thing worth losing all that you've worked so hard for? The 84 minute drive is exhilarating, tense, and emotional.
