Review of Locke (2014) by Tanvir M — 17 Aug 2014
An astonishing showcase and 'vehicle' for Hardy's acting prowess, this is a riveting film set in its entirety in a car and takes place over a single ride, with one face occupying the screen time, but with some classy voice acting over the phone (Olivia Colman, fresh from her win at BAFTA For BroadChurch and Ruth Wilson from Luther, to name a few).
Quite a story, depicting how one single act can unravel your life with alarming speed of escalation. Hardy proves again that he will not limit himself to blockbuster fare only, which is indeed great news for movie fans.
