Review of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) by Ross M — 29 Jun 2010
A perfect British crime film, proving full well we know what we are doing and have been doing long before the American's made it popular. A modern age Get Carter, with the same style wit but far more comedic and the British Pulp Fiction, despite the fact Tarantino was probably inspired by previous Brit crime films himself.
Gritty yet also with the flourish and fluidity of a professional, big budget film.
