Review of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) by Masa O — 10 Jul 2010
Not the British Masterpiece that I've been led to believe it is. My problem with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is that it tries too hard to be the British Pulp Fiction. The reason I find this a problem is because if I wanted to watch Pulp Fiction, then I'd watch Pulp Fiction.
I liked the film when it tried something new, but then it would turn back into a Pulp Fiction wannabe and it really felt pointless. The acting ranged from poor to decent, and the story wasn't too interesting in my opinion.
