Review of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) by Black R — 16 Jun 2011
Being the first by Guy Ritchie, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels definitly tops all of his other movies, by far. It's also probably one of the best crime films I've seen. It's about a group of guys who put all their money together to play a card a high stakes card game with a mobster named Hatchet Harry, but after the game, they get themselves into a lot of trouble, owing 500,000 pounds to Harry.
Thinking of a way to get the money, Eddy then has a plan. When overhearing the neighbors, they heard that they were planning on robbing some drug dealers in town, so Eddy has a plan on robbing those robbers after the heist.
This movie reminds me of Resevoir Dogs so much, which has the same kind of plot in the movie. Some of these actors like Jason flemyng and Dexter Fletcher, can also be seen in "Kick-Ass", directed by Mathew Vaghn (who produced this movie also).
So if you like Resevoir Dogs or anything else by Ritchie, WATCH IT.
