Review of Local Hero (1983) by Dave C — 18 Jun 2010
Local Hero is one of the strangest comedies I've ever seen. It's also one of my favorites. From its strong cast to the dry, hilarious delivery of the jokes, to the serene landscapes, this is a film I never wanted to end.
I was sucked into the small fishing village of Ferness and fell in love with it and its people. I don't have much more to say at the moment other than to give it my highest possible recommendation.
