Review of Lo and Behold: Reveries of the Connected World (2016) by Peter F — 25 Aug 2016
I just saw Werner Herzog's new film, 'Lo and Behold'.
There are not enough superlatives.
To simply state we are on the threshold of a future we cannot fathom is such a gross understatement as to make every understatement ever uttered part of this understatement's concubine.
Our lives are going to change over the next 30 years on a scale the most fantastic writers of science fiction could not ponder.
This film talks about the genesis of the internet, the pitfalls of the internet, the depravity of the internet, the vulnerability of the internet, the ability to transform human consciousness by the internet, and the perfectly plausible - if not certain - event of Artificial Intelligence taking over for good or for ill.
If you don't see this film, unfriend me. No, but seriously, unfriend me.
