Review of Lo (2009) by Brett W — 22 Feb 2010
I think this is the first movie I've ever purposefully chosen to watch only to turn off after the first scene. Maybe it transforms into a masterpiece 30 minutes in...but I don't really care to find out.
For something this intimate the lead character MUST MUST MUST be extremely compelling since he alone guides the audience for the majority of time. The guy in this is neither funny nor intriguing. If anything I was expecting a horror-style "Waiting for Godot" or "Rosencrantz and Gildenstern", intimate, snappy, circular dialogue.
Nope. So, unfortunately this stumbles and falls right out of the gate.
