Christina Ricci plays Lizzie Borden. Given the title, there is no doubt they intend to say she is the killer for the film. It goes from a little bit before the murders, to the investigation and subsequent trials.
The story has been done before and it does a good job of giving its take on what happened on that day. They added in modern music which did not fit at all and felt really weird. Other than that, it's a solid retelling of an age old story.
