Review of Lizzie (2018) by Katherine S — 20 Sep 2018

I for one absolutely LOVED this movie! Kristen Stewart is my favorite actress, and she truly shines in this film. Her character is so subdued and soft spoken, and Kristen portrayed her perfectly. She had to do an Irish accent for this role, and I was truly impressed with her accent, it was just perfect! Chloe Sevigny was phenomenal as Lizzie Borden! She really blew me away! I am dying to see Chloe Sevigny and Kristen Stewart in more movies together, please make it happen!! Their chemistry was just so palpable from the very moment that Bridget and Lizzie interact with each other, it felt so genuine! I'm seriously in love with this film, I could talk about it for hours!! I loved the feminist message! Oppressed and subdued women that finally relieve themselves of all restraints, shedding their clothes and taking control of their own lives, while at the same time taking out the people oppressing them! Obviously I'm not condoning the axe murders, but the message behind it and what it stands for in the film I thought was brilliant! I already wanna go see it again ASAP!
