Review of Living Stars (2014) by Amanda C — 17 Sep 2014
There is an interesting dichotomy in Living Stars between being asked to dance like no one is watching while everyone is. As a film that is single camera shots of people of all ages and abilities dancing, it shouldn't be as engrossing and entertaining as it is.
But the filmmakers have captured what makes dance such a great thing. It is inherent in human DNA. Music makes us want to move and it feels good, regardless of age or ability. That's why Living Stars is so great.
It celebrates something that is universally understood and enjoyed.
