Review of Live Nude Girls Unite! (2000) by Kinohi N — 26 Nov 2008
Unionizing strippers in San Francisco are a fascinating subject for a documentary. Best of all, the Lusty Ladies succeeded and remain the only card-carrying stripper union members in the world. But perhaps the most intriguing parts of the film involve the director Julia Query and her mother, anti-prostitution advocate Joyce Wallace.
Their disagreements illuminate nicely the divisions between Second Wave and post-feminists.
