Review of Live from Baghdad (2002) by Ann D — 11 Jun 2007
Decent made-for-cable movie about reporting in Baghdad during the Gulf War- and more generally, about the birth of 24-hour cable news networks. Michael Keaton's frenetic charisma is put to great use here.
This movie somewhat aggrandizes CNN and cable news reporting. Then again, the reporters who risk their lives in these war zones do deserve commendation, even if their corporate overlords are helping to destroy democratic society as we know it.
