Review of Live Free or Die Hard (2007) by Chad L — 15 Feb 2013
This is probably the least realistic out of the initial four in the franchise but it makes up for it with a stellar performance from Bruce Willis and beautifully shot choreographed action sequences directed by Len Wiseman.
Some people complain about how John McClane is too much like a super hero in this film and I can understand why someone might say that, however, I felt like even though some of the scenarios were a bit preposterous and over the top it didn't bother me as much because the character of John McClane was still in tact, the dialogue was witty, and the direction was sharp.
I thought Bruce Willis and Justin Long surprisingly had great chemistry together and I bought their relationship throughout the entire film. It has a pretty decent villain. I mean for Die Hard standards they probably could've found someone a little bit better, but nevertheless he did what he need to do.
Overall this is a fun action film and for Die Hard fans nothing short of a good time.
