Affleck's character is too unsympathetic to truly care about what's all playing out and too much of the character development feels forced and rushed. Too many subplots are going on and it doesn't establish its villains effectively.
It's never boring, but its blandness is capped by an unnecessary ending that doesn't work with the rest of its narrative. Run of the mill performances deliver basic dialogue.
