Review of Live and Let Die (1973) by Yule Die — 30 May 2008
We really don't know how to feel about Roger Moore in this one cause he's still trying to get the knack of the role. It's a departure from most Bond films in that it's not about a meglomaniac and instead ops for a more thrilleresque approach like the novels.
Good supporting characters and hilarious bits of political incorrectness make this an awkward entry in the franchise and a little off beat. Plus, it has the silliest ways to off a bad guy which makes a character swell up and I kid you not.
..look and sound like a balloon. It's like, "what were they thinking" when they did that one effect. You just have to see it to understand.
