Review of Live and Let Die (1973) by Connor _ — 06 Nov 2010
With the interesting yet inevitable theme of voodoo culture, Roger Moore's debut as 007 is not one of the best written, yet still entertaining and interesting. You can't take Bond films too seriously, which is a mistake a lot of Bond's critics tend to make.
The screenplay gets carried away with the fun sometimes and forgets to explain the reason why Bond is out to get drug tycoon Yaphet Kotto. Co-starring Jane Seymour as the clairvoyant Bond girl, Solitaire.
B+.
