Review of Live and Let Die (1973) by Colin S — 23 Aug 2008
I usually find the Moore Bond films outrageously campy, and this is certainly no exception. From the opening sequence on how to dispose of a body in New Orleans ingeniously, all the way to the unique method of Kotto's demise, this is the flagship of a series of Bond films that aren't taking themselves very seriously.
Also, Seymour is lovely, but sadly quite helpless in this script, and I find myself a little perturbed by the solidly black-and-white good/evil motif.
