Review of Live and Let Die (1973) by David K — 01 Nov 2008
I can admire the camp of the Bond series, I really can, but "Live and Let Die" is beyond cheesy with a horrible story to boot. Roger Moore's debut has "dirty old-man" all over it.
There's something just odd about his Bond character that makes you just wish he took it a little more serious. Anyway, the movie is just lame. The metal armed man, the voodoo, blacksploitation, Tarot, etc.
It's all stupid. As far as Bond movies, this is one of the worst, but I must mention that it probably has the best theme of the entire series. Still, not a great outing for Bond, but Moore's films do improve.
