"Live and Let Die" is a very middling effort in the Bond-franchise and while every Bond film is entertaining and usually fast-paced enough to carry it, the story and feel of the film comes off as rather poorly put together and executed.

Some of the characters as well as dialogue and gadgets just came off unintentionally hilarious or just plain cheap looking. While I found the film easy to watch for the most part, it doesn't nearly live up to many of the better films in the franchise and is barely passable overall.

I have seen my fair share of Bond films over my 25 years but have yet to really review them from a more mature eye until now, which I am starting with this film. I know that Roger Moore is not the most loved of the actors to play James Bond and while his looks and the way he carries himself work for the role, most of the other actors do a superior job.

Still though, at the end of the day Bond films are entertaining and make their own world come alive through its characters and scenarios and that's worth something.
