Review of Live and Let Die (1973) by Dann M — 27 Jun 2014
The Moore Era begins with a bold new adventure in Live and Let Die. When a series of MI6 agents are killed, James Bond is sent to New York to investigate a rising crime lord who calls himself Mr. Big. Roger Moore steps into the role of James Bond and delivers a solid performance that puts a slight spin on the character.
And, Jane Seymour makes her big debut as one of the most compelling and enchanting Bond girls of the series. Plus, Paul McCartney provides a powerful and thrilling theme song. However, the plot is especially convoluted and gets a bit ridiculous at times.
Live and Let Die begins a new era for Bond that's a bit campier, but still delivers the action and adventure.
