Review of Live and Let Die (1973) by Kj P — 24 Oct 2015
Unfortunately, I simply do not have the time to watch every single James Bond film in order before Spectre comes out. It's just not possible. So instead, I'm picking a select few. First up was "Live and Let Die".
Let me say right off the bat that this has a kick-ass song by Paul McCartney and Wings and yes I do realize how racist this movie looks now. But this is an entertaining movie. Roger Moore plays a great James Bond.
He certainly looked the part in his earlier bond films and he has that perfect mix of sauve and bad-ass. Jane Seymour is also one of the best bond girls ever. Not just because of her looks, but because she's a psychic.
The voodoo aspect is also a strange yet creepy force James Bond to go up against. This bond film takes a bit of a departure from the classic formula of spies vs. spies but it still has all the action and James Bond tropes to make this film a fun time!
