Review of Live and Let Die (1973) by Nicholas D — 16 Nov 2015
Moore's introduction establishes his differences with Connery's Bond. He prefers cigars to cigarettes, brandy to vodka, sex to violence, humor to seriousness and he's more of a gentleman. It does work with the Bond formula but the villain has a different kind of plot this time.
It's a bizarre (sometimes inane) film with some dark creepy moments, touch of mysticism, unique locales, alligators and a great cast of villains.
