Review of Live and Let Die (1973) by Mike H — 22 Nov 2011
There are a few very interesting moments in this Bond, primarily with the Baron Samedi character. But these things never live up to their potential and instead make room for bad dialogue and bland action.
A bonus for this Bond is that this must be the least gadget-reliant Bond made. He has a magnetic watch and that's it. No cars that transform into eight vehicles, no paperclips that turn into plastique.
Unfortunately the opportunity is missed here as well, as 007 still relies more on luck than skill to get out of tight spots.
