Review of Live! (2007) by Scott G — 16 Apr 2009

Wow. I really loved this movie. The direction was really good, I really like the whole "Reality show of the making of a reality show" thing it has going. Eva Mendes gave an amazing performance, and her character was very interesting: we know she says horrible things and takes advantage of people who are desperate to come into some money, but we still understand her reasons for doing the show.

When the moment for the show came, I felt as excited as if the show were real, which was amazing. My heart beat so fast when each of them grabbed the gun! It really was, like Mendes' character says, an incredible rush.

And I can't help but think, and hate to think, that if this show were on, we'd all watch it, myself included. Human fascination of the abomination really is the most curious thing. Excellent movie, great ending as well.
