Review of Little Women (1994) by Shai L — 22 Jan 2009
This is a brilliant adaptation of Louisa M Alcotts brilliant book. Winona Ryder is amazing as the headstrong Jo and Susan Sarandon as the loving mother. Christian Bale is also brilliant in one of his early roles as Laury, Jo's friend who is in love with her but the love is sadly not reciprocated.
Gabriel Byrne is also brilliant as Jo's love interest but unfortunately his role is a small one so we don't get to see the extent of his talent. a superb film with an excellent ensemble of actors.
