A movie with a huge heart - that is exactly what one can say about Little Women. Adapted from the classic novel.

Of the same name by American writer, Louisa May Alcott, the movie follows the life, the trials and tribulations.

Faced by the March family. With their father away at war, the four March girls- Margaret, Josephine, Elizabeth.

And Amy, try to become a helping hand to their mother, putting up with all the family crisis, supported always by.

Their very endearing neighbour, the charming young lad, Teddy.

Little Women can be said to be one of those movies about which people generally remark-"It will make you laugh.

And it will make you cry". Being one of the many appreciated movies of the genre of drama, this movie is one of my.

Personal favourites because of many reasons.

First of all it is a nearly accurate adaptation of the novel which also is one of the best loved of many readers including me,.

Who find immense satisfaction in the fact that the film hasn't gone anyway which will make people say that it.

Hasn't justified the book. This in turn contributes to another accomplishment which is that this movie is neither.

Slow in its pace nor way too long as it was most likely to have been owing to the fact that it is adapted from.

A novel which itself comprises two volumes.

Well ,what takes the crown for this movie is not entirely the direction and other technical aspects, but mostly the.

Performances which are so heart-warming and akin to the characters that it surely won't give you any other feeling.

Except pleasure. Be it the eldest and responsible Meg(by Trini Alvarado) or the boisterous Jo(Winona Ryder), the.

Shy and meek Beth(Claire Danes) or the lady-like little Amy(younger one played by Kirsten Dunst), all the actors.

Really add to the atmosphere of a good film. Susan Sarandon is her at her motherly best, playing Mrs. March or.

Marmee, as the girls lovingly call her. What might surprise people is the very young and quite adorable Christian.

Bale playing the character of Laurie on screen, who falls in love with Jo only to be turned down by the girl who.

Had eyes sparkling with numerous dreams of making her mark in the world.

Heart warming and heart wrenching-- this movie got nominated for 3 Academy Awards including one for Ryder.

Who so beautifully plays her part of Jo, she fits in all too well in the character, giving the same outspoken,.

Innocent, sometimes childish, yes, feel to it as is given by the book. So, all movie-goers, if you don't want to miss out.

A real treat, watch this movie and let your heart feast in the very experience of it, believe me you will end up having.

A smile on your face.
