Winona ryder as the strong independent jo, is perfect and acts her way into the audience's emotions, with a vulnerability that can't be taught. christian bale as in all his roles delivers a fine performance and truly digs deep to capture the essence of the boy next door. every character in the movie plays their part in making this rendition of little women a classic.
