Funny, endearing, and poignant. jane horrocks turns in an amazing performance, but blethyn and caine are the real stars of this movie. their characters are completely pathetic and sad, and they were both aces at making them hateable and watchable.
my personal favorite moment is a bit with a dancing sequence and subsequent couch destruction.
