Little Shop Of Horrors.

Though this isn't my movie for this months theme I loved it so much that I thought it fit booth months themes so well I may as well review it as a buffer before I choose another movie.

I've always heard about this movie from friends and never actually got around to watching it nor knowing little about the plot. Just a couple of weeks ago I thought I'd give it a chance and boy was I impressed. Not only did the movie have stunning partial effects / puppeteers; it brought to the table catchy songs that suit the movies theme along with actors who truely fit their roles.

Little shop of Horrors is a movie about a flower shop going out of buisness until one of the shop employees (Seymour Krelborm / Rick Moranis) tells his boss (Mr. Mushnik / Vincent Gardenia) that he came across a peculiar plant that might help. To the Mushnik's surprise the plant pulls in customers and it's up to Seymour to figure out how to get this plant to grow no matter the cost. All while trying to get his life together and hopefully help his close friend (Audrey / Ellen Greene), hopefully to be his love the way he's imagined. Along this musical foot tapping road the demands of the plant upkeep become more and more savage.(edited).

The movie was such a treat for me because I'm honestly not the biggest fan of musicals, I'm beginning to think that I may in the past just not have seen the best musicals. My opinion on the movie is high. There was times when I was awh struck by the practical effects it made me just hands down excited. I later learned that the final form of the plant took 50 puppeteers to control. They had a great behind the scenes and I do recommend watching it if you love the film as much as I did.

The music and chorography was perfect and and had me excited for more as the movie went on. I personally thought that the three girls that were the narrative between the movie and the audience was almost the highlight of the movie. They managed to capture the essences and mood of each scene. I had little to no problem with the script and cant think of any faults that wouldn't be nit picky. The actors were amazing and well picked. The director really knew exactly what he was looking for and made sure they were right, its also great to see Rick Moranis in a lead role before he took off and became a stay at home father.

I'm not doing this film justice with my review and wish I picked a better time to say the proper things about it without giving away to much detail but go see this film. Even if you are not a fan of the musical scene you need to see this movie. There are just to many things to appreciate here that its a amazing experience to be had.

I highly recommend this film.
