Review of Little Shop of Horrors (1986) by George B — 16 Apr 2010
Frank Oz probably has a greater mind as a director than he was as Master Yoda, because he almost never failed to deliver great fun to the audience. This b-movie remake musical has become a iconic cult film over the years.
Rick Moranis was great as Seymour, but his old-time partner Steve Martin stole the show undoubtedly. His Ghostbuster teammate Bill Murray also made an impressive cameo. Levi Stubbs as Audrey II was incredibly hilarious.
But the most credits went to Howard Ashman and Alan Menken's innovative blue craze before they became Disney cutesy.
