This movie is sketchy: a talking/singing plant, 3 random black female back-up vocalists popping up during random times, and Steve Martin as a crazy dentist.
I don't think anyone involved in this project took it seriously, and that's probably what makes it so funny at times.
I don't have anything against it, I just wasn't really that comfortable with the whole thing. it was pretty weird due.
