Review of Little Shop of Horrors (1986) by Nicholas M — 19 Jun 2012

A very fun musical, and this is coming from a fan of musicals... so I know my shit. The characters were delightful and acted and sung well by the people playing them. some (well, most) of the celebrity cameos seemed pointless but when they worked (Bill Murray, Christopher Guest) they really worked.

All of the songs flowed fantastically and had an endearing Soulful quality to them. And might I add that Steve Martin has the most entertaining portrayel of a dentist /sadist I've ever seen and had what was by far the most inspired musical set piece in a film that was full of them.
