Playing on demand on HBO right now. Up on the favorite list for me, in terms of musical adaptations. Ellen Greene's portrayal of Audrey, originally made famous in the off-broadway production, is encapsulated here for all of us to enjoy forever.
The Audrey 2, true star of the show, is one mean green mother, the puppet work is truly amazing, not to mention the voicework from Levi Stubbs. The musical, the choreography, the production work, all of it worthy of a rewatch.
Mentions to Steve Martin and Rick Moranis for great performances as well, not to mention cameos from Jim Belushi, BIll Murray, and others. Don't Feed The Plant!
