A devilishly energetic vehicle that contains about as many laughs as his previous features combined. Sandler turns the joke around on his detractors and manages to lead a devilishly energetic vehicle that contains about as many laughs as his previous features combined. Here's a movie in which heaven is ingeniously conceived as the inside of a birthday cake, and critics everywhere defaulted to the post-chic anti-Adam Sandler stance. There are laughs to be had, yet the movie is, if anything, more strenuous than it is funny. The film's rhythm is jerky, bouncing all around the place and making some of the setups feel unnecessary. Juvenile, sloppy and frequently, idiotically hilarious.

VERDICT: "Matinée" - (Mixed reaction). These kinds of movies are usually movies that had some good things, but some bad things kept it from being amazing. This rating says to pay matinée prices to see at a theatre or buy an ex rental or a cheap price the DVD to own.
