Very dark for a childrens movie. Scared me to death when I first saw it as a wee one! Great movie and always will be!
As a side note, Google a generic print sheet of Freudian dream symbolism and watch this movie with it close by. It may be accidental, but if it isn't, this may be the most covertly dirty kid's movie in existence!!
