Review of Little Miss Sunshine (2006) by The Critic ( — 08 Nov 2012
A charming tale of a quirky dysfunctional family whose commitment to one another, although not connotatively evident, sees them through a number of obstacles.
Written with wit and acted to perfection (Miss Abigail Breslin is indeed a ray of sunshine), the film only falters when a plot twist involving the consciously mute Dwayne (the excellent Paul Dano) comes into effect.
In saying that, this is an unpredictable piece with lots of heart and is plenty of fun throughout.
Unforgettable.
