Review of Little Miss Sunshine (2006) by James W — 26 Jun 2013
The most dysfunctional family I've ever seen in a movie, and also the most enjoyable to watch. Little Miss Sunshine is wonderfully acted by Toni Colette, Greg Kinnear, Alan Arkin, Abigail Breslin, Paul Dano & Steve Carrell as they drive 700 miles to enter young Olive into the Little Miss Sunshine contest.
Along the way there is intense family drama, a lot of laughter and moments of sadness, and shock! The journey is so worth it as the end is unforgettable and hilarious, where young Olive shows off her dance skills, taught to her by her cocaine sniffing granddad, you can only expect funny results!
