Review of Little Miss Sunshine (2006) by Sma A — 23 Aug 2012
No family looks good under a microscope, and every family has members who are different, who struggle, who protest, and aspire to something. This is one of those families with incredibly outstanding family members.
grandfather who thinks that as with old age come limitations, using heroin to light up his life is a great idea. Even though he is a drug user he is a dedicated, very supportive, affectionate grandparent.
Father who is a motivational speaker, bankrupt as noone is interested in his book, seems shallow, stuck on his ideas of winning, but still a caring parent. Teenage brother going through a mysanthropic phase, disciplines himself and willingly becomes mute as he wants to enroll in airforce academy.
Last but not least an uncle who attempted suicide due to unrequited love, job loss, and etc. Movie is moving, interesting, funny, unconventional, and fresh! watching it is a nice experience!
