Review of Little Miss Sunshine (2006) by Gustavmarkovic31 . — 11 Sep 2012
Heart warming and wonderfully made, Little Miss Sunshine is a glorious film, with superb acting from all (especially little Abigail Breslin) and some very smart humour, this is a movie that succeeds in avoiding the typical slapstick crap and foul-mouthed hick-talk of most road movies (though the foul-mouthed part comes close).
What is worth mentioning is the abilities of Abigail Breslin and Paul Dano. In my mind they were incredible and acted just as well as any Oscar winner in the past few years. And I laughed at the thought of Alan Arkin winning an Oscar for it. Not because he didn't deserve it, which he did, but because he had less screen time than the VW bus they drive in.
Very worth while viewing and it's a shame it didn't win more awards than it did.
