Review of Little Miss Sunshine (2006) by Michael A — 11 Jan 2013

- I really had high hopes for this movie but was ultimately let down by the lack in depth with the plot and characters, character development, and the predictable comedy near the middle and end. It's a damn shame too because it could have been a great movie if only the above was fixed.

- The ending was highly disappointing and caused a lot of shock at how little closure was brought to the story. Whatever happened to the grandpa? Does Frank find any hope to continue living and/or love? What about Dwayne; does he ever figure out a way to live his passion in life? Not to mention Richard and Sheryl's marriage and finances being on the rocks and Olive's obvious self-image problems.

- Although "down to earth" and great at the beginning, it's ended with too much left unanswered and, thus...along with other elements, such disappointment.
