Little Miss Sunshine didn't seem to me to be the amazingly hilarious film that critics made it out to be, but it had a few laughs, some good drama and an excellent cast.

Little Miss Sunshine succeeds thanks to it's impeccable cast.

With Greg Kinnear and Toni Collete in good leads, a large amount of strength draws from the supporting roles of the well executed dramedy from Alan Arkin, the level of talent and cuteness from the young Abigail Breslin and the talented introverted characterization stemming from Steve Carrell's performance.

The depth of the film is surprisingly heartwarming and has some good family values to it, and it's great because it's a real family, a dysfunctional one with proper characteriziation of family qualities. Paul Dano also did well in his more climactic moments.

Little Miss Sunshine also features drama written very well into the script and some strong lines, and satirizes family films very well.

The only real issue with Little Miss Sunshine is that it fails to find a balance between comedy and drama, and is therefore more funny to a certain group of people, but overall Little Miss Sunshine was a touching experience.
