I recorded it thinking it would be funny: I mean, sunshine is in the name, and Steve Carell is in it. Turns out its a dark humor though when humorous, and mostly just about how sad this family's life is.
But I really enjoyed it, the plot and theme were great, and Carell was still awesome.
