Review of Little Miss Sunshine (2006) by Bill T — 02 Sep 2013
Great little movie, full of surprisingly loud laughs. This is all about one family banding together so that their little girl can fulfill her dreams and compete in a beauty contest. Everyone shines in this, especially Alan Arkin, who totally deserved that Academy Award, and a scene stealing Paul Dano.
I had a bit of an issue with the ending being a little too farfetched (How the heck did their parents not ever know that was going to hppen?) and was somewhat bothered by Toni Collette not having anything to do but to react to everything.
