Review of Little Miss Sunshine (2006) by Nilesh J — 02 Aug 2014
When a family is made up of the worst kind of a narcissist, a nag, a suicidal, a druggie, a rebel and a sweet innocent kid lost between all of this, it simply starts with a bang. The jokes work despite being too simple at times.
The characters and their interactions are phenomenal. The biggest tragedy is the storytellers' refusal to provide the protagonists with a single, positive moment throughout while still attempting to retain or raise their optimism and prospects - kinda does not work even if real life.
