Review of Little Miss Sunshine (2006) by Arslan K — 10 Jul 2015
What a wonderful film this is! This is such a clever in the aspect of writing and filming. I can tell this was written in a very attentive manner and filmed in a very alluring way. I just feel very happy after watching this film. The cast is what works so great in this film. Every cast member is given a respectful time to give us a view of their personalities. If you are smart you can easily pick out what each character represent, the girl is a dreamer, grandpa is love, uncle is envy and so on. The directors did an astounding job on that. This film also has a perfect balance to itself which not a lot of comedies do now a days. It's perfectly blended with comedy, seriousness and sadness. It has it's fair shares of sensible humor, intense seriousness and heartbreaking sadness. No joke was forced. Which isn't present in a lot of comedies. I am very good at seeing the ending "from a mile away" which for this I THOUGHT I did. But nope...writers are just that good! I can't help it to think that they knew already that people would be expecting that and if the ending had been this perfect little circle I would have not liked the film as much because isn't the end what we all look forward to...to see what happens. So the conclusion was very well done a little over the top but a feel good one. One concealed talent was Steve Carell. I mean that guy can pull of any role.
And him and alan were my favorites in this film. Carell will always finds ways to impress. He is truly splendid. This is probably one of my favorite films of all time. Overall...well there is no need. My review is enough. Watch it! You won't regret it!
