Review of Little Fugitive (1953) by Michael L — 11 Apr 2009
In terms of a movie, whatever, this is an extremely important film. I dont think you will find an earlier example of either neo-realist cinema or pre-new wave styles. truffaut has said that this film inspired the french new wave and its pretty evident.
comparisons to the 400 flows abound and the final scene in that film could even be scene as a tribute to this. as a native new york area guy, it was also really interesting to see such a great early photo document of 1950s coney island.
