Review of Little Fockers (2010) by Steve B — 09 Dec 2011
After watching the amusing and frustrating antics of Ben Stiller and cast in the first two movies I couldn't wait see this one. As usual the gags were a plenty and it polished up well including the exact same cast as before which helps.
The addition here were two children, the offspring of Greg 'Gaylord' and Pam. As the title suggested I thought this one was going to lean heavy on the kids angle and let them take centre stage, but this didn't happen, even after the planning of the end climax, a 5th Birthday.
After a bit I started to find it all not as funny as the first two and realised that 'Jack' had just found another reason to make Greg feel inferior and watched, Owen Wilson's character aiding Jack with all his charms and slickness and portraying a better partner for Pam.
The Focker parents didn't seem to have a role and were added for good measure. Jack's wife and Daughter, just - filler. I think they've stretched this one out long enough now. I hope they just leave Greg alone now to get on with his life.
